Free EMOM Timer - Every Minute on the Minute
Every Minute on the Minute, no signup, with sounds and works on any screen
How to use this EMOM Timer
Set your total minutes, choose your interval (classic 60 seconds, or 90-second / 2-minute EMOMs), hit start. A beep marks the top of every minute, do your reps, rest whatever's left, go again when it beeps.
Open a preset on a gym TV's browser and run it full-screen, or leave it full-screen on your phone. The display stays awake until you're done.
What is EMOM?
EMOM stands for Every Minute on the Minute: a workout format where you start a set at the top of each minute, and the time left after your reps is your rest. Faster reps buy more rest; slow down and the next minute arrives anyway, that built-in accountability is why coaches love EMOM training for strength, conditioning, and skill work alike. An EMOM workout can be one movement repeated, or an alternating EMOM cycling two or three movements across minutes (odd minutes row, even minutes burpees). Common lengths run 10-30 minutes, the presets above cover the classics.
EMOM vs AMRAP vs Tabata, in one line each: an EMOM (Every Minute on the Minute) fixes when you work, every minute; an AMRAP fixes how long you work, max rounds in a cap (this same tool doubles as an AMRAP timer in AMRAP mode); Tabata fixes the ratio, 20 seconds on / 10 seconds off x8, see the Tabata timer. All three live in the free workout timer hub.
Want progressions by skill level? The full EMOM workouts guide breaks down 15 with scaling.
Sounds
Cue sounds built in: a bell opens every minute and countdown beeps carry you into the switch, loud enough to hear over reps. Voice cues and pick-your-pack sound options are in FitVizPro on iOS and FitViz on Android.

Frequently Asked Questions
EMOM stands for Every Minute on the Minute. Start your set when each minute begins, rest for whatever remains, and repeat for the programmed number of minutes.
An EMOM timer counts continuous minutes and beeps at the top of each one. Unlike a stopwatch, it handles the interval logic for you, including 90-second and 2-minute (E2MOM) variants and alternating movement cues, so you just work when it beeps.
Yes, free, no ads, no account. It's built by Fit Viz, whose gym platform starts free too, the same engine gyms run on their workout displays.
Beginners: 8-10 minutes. General conditioning: 10-20. Advanced engines: 20-30. Strength EMOMs usually run 10-16 minutes at 2-minute intervals so heavy reps get real rest.
EMOM 10: pick one movement you can finish in about 35-40 seconds, such as 10-12 kettlebell swings or 8-10 box step-ups. If you're resting under 15 seconds, cut reps. The format only works when the rest exists.
An EMOM schedules work every minute on the minute with rest built in; an AMRAP is continuous max rounds against one time cap. EMOMs control pacing, AMRAPs test it. This tool runs both modes.
Yes, use the 90-second or E2MOM presets. Longer intervals suit heavy barbell work and long-rep gymnastics.
Open the preset URL directly in the TV's browser and run it full-screen, the display stays awake through the workout. For actual casting from a phone or tablet, the FitViz Tv app casts directly to the screen. For whole-class setups with the WOD and EMOM timer on every screen, that's the Fit Viz workout display.
This EMOM timer keeps your screen awake while it's running, so the display doesn't sleep mid-round. Load the page before class starts for the smoothest experience.
Only if you want a native app. This browser EMOM timer does the same job with nothing to install, works on phones, tablets, laptops and TVs, and every setup is shareable as a link.
