HYROX Weights by Division: Every Station, Every Division
Updated September 2026 · Verified against the official HYROX Season 26/27 rulebooks (Singles, Doubles, Relay) · Independent reference - not affiliated with HYROX GmbH.
HYROX weights follow three official load tiers - the rulebooks even color-code the equipment:
- 1. White (Women's Open loads),
- 2. Grey (Men's Open - also Women's Pro and Mixed Doubles),
And - 3. Black (Men's Pro).
Pick your division and gender below to see exactly what you'll push, pull, carry, lunge, and throw - in kg or lb - including the answer to the sport's most-asked question: the official numbers always include the sled itself.

Hyrox Weights Table Notes
- Official values are metric; pounds are exact conversions rounded for display (e.g., 6 kg = 13.2 lb, 24 kg = 52.9 lb) - other sites disagree with each other because they round differently.
- Damper preset is set to 6 for both SkiErg & Rower, with the rower foot plate set to 4

How HYROX divisions work
HYROX splits athletes across five race categories, and understanding hyrox divisions is the first step to reading the table correctly.
Open and Pro are the two singles tiers - Pro carries a heavier load on every loaded station, not a longer distance or more reps. Age-group categories inside Open and Pro are ranking brackets only: a 45-year-old in Open races the exact same hyrox weights as a 25-year-old in Open.
Doubles pairs two athletes who run every kilometer together and split the eight stations however they like, as long as they enter and exit each one together. Doubles Women race the lightest band. Doubles Women Pro, Doubles Men, and Doubles Mixed all race the same middle band, which happens to equal the Men's Open load on every station that carries one. Doubles Men Pro race the heaviest band. That overlap is why hyrox mixed doubles weights look identical to Men's Open on the table: Mixed Doubles always uses that band, on both the Open and Pro tabs above, because HYROX does not run a separate Pro tier for Mixed Doubles. Each partner still throws the wall ball to their own gender's target height.
Relay puts four athletes on a team, each running two kilometers and two stations at their own gender's Open load - a Relay Mixed team simply has some members on Women's Open loads and some on Men's Open loads, which is why that selection shows two columns instead of one. There is no Pro tier in Relay.
How to read this table
Every row is one of the eight stations, in race order. The middle column is the fixed distance or rep count, which never changes by division. The load column (or columns, for the default and Relay Mixed views) shows the official weight for your selection. Three stations - SkiErg, Rowing, and Burpee Broad Jumps - carry no external load in any division, so those rows read "Bodyweight" instead of a number.
Switch the unit toggle to see the same hyrox weights in pounds; the site remembers your last choice for the next visit. The "Copy link" button grabs a URL that reopens on the exact division, gender, and unit you have selected, so you can text a teammate the table for your race category instead of describing it. "Print / save PDF" produces a clean one-page version of the table for a gym wall or a training binder.
Know the numbers, now run them: the free HYROX timer tracks a full race simulation station by station, with Roxzone tracking built in.
Which loads is your division on?
| Division | Loads | Verified notes (Season 26/27) |
|---|---|---|
| Women's Open | WHITE | The reference women's standard |
| Men's Open | GREY | The reference men's standard |
| Women's Pro | GREY | Pro women race Men's Open loads; wall-ball target stays 2.70 m |
| Men's Pro | BLACK | Heaviest standard in the sport |
| Women's Doubles | WHITE | Partners run every 1 km together and split all station work freely |
| Men's Doubles | GREY | Same shared-work rules |
| Mixed Doubles | GREY | Both partners work at Men's Open loads - 152 kg sled push, 103 kg pull, 2 × 24 kg, 20 kg bag, 6 kg ball. Each partner throws to their own gender's target: women 2.70 m, men 3.00 m |
| Pro Doubles | BLACK | Men's Pro loads, shared |
| Relay (Women / Men / Mixed teams of 4) | Own-gender Open loads | Each Relay Member runs 2 × 1 km + 2 stations (any split the team likes); women's stations at WHITE, men's at GREY. Age groups: Under 40 / 40+ by team's average age |
| Age groups (Singles) | The division you enter | Age groups are ranking categories inside Open/Pro - the loads never change with age |
| Adaptive | Individually adapted | HYROX runs Adaptive divisions with standards adapted per the official Adaptive rulebook |
"Is that with or without the sled?" - answered from the rulebook
Every official HYROX weight is the total including the sled. The Season 26/27 rulebooks print "102 KG INCL. SLED", "152 KG INCL. SLED", and so on - there is no official plates-only number, because sled models (and their empty weights) vary. So when you load a sled in training: weigh or check your sled, then add plates until the total hits your division's number. A widely shared blog claims the 152/103 figures exclude the sled - the rulebook says the opposite. Don't accidentally train 50 kg heavy (or race-day will feel suspiciously pleasant).
Station by station (Every station, one line each)
- 1. SkiErg 1,000 m - No load in any division; the damper is preset to 6 for every division (you may adjust it), so pacing strategy is the variable that matters.
It is pure engine, and the pacing you set here previews how the rest of the race will feel. - 2. Sled Push 50 m - Four 12.5 m lengths; the sled must fully cross the line before you turn. Friction varies by floor, so treat training loads as approximate and learn low, patient hip drive.
The hyrox sled push weight is the number most athletes ask about first, and for good reason: it is the heaviest station-plus-implement total in the race, at 50 meters per division. - 3. Sled Pull 50 m - Same 4 × 12.5 m format from inside a Racer's Box; standing pulls only, and grip is the limiter.
The hyrox sled pull weight sits just under the push at every tier, over the same 50 meters, and rewards a low hip position and steady rope rhythm over brute grip strength. - 4. Burpee Broad Jumps 80 m - Bodyweight, chest to ground, feet taking off and landing together, hands never more than 30 cm ahead of your toes. Rhythm beats explosiveness.
80 meters of burpee broad jumps, bodyweight only, broken into manageable segments rather than attempted unbroken. - 5. Row 1,000 m - Damper preset 6, footplates at 4 (both adjustable); the recovery station if you pace it.
A second 1000 m engine test, this time on the rower, deliberately placed after three stations of fatigue rather than fresh. - 6. Farmers Carry 200 m - One kettlebell per hand, arms extended at your sides; you may set them down to rest as long as they don't creep forward.
The hyrox farmers carry weight is loaded per hand across two kettlebells for 200 meters, and grip endurance usually fails before the legs do. - 7. Sandbag Lunges 100 m - Bag stays on both shoulders; trailing knee clearly touches down; stand fully tall between reps; no steps or shuffles between lunges.
100 meters of walking lunges under a sandbag held across the shoulders - control through the bottom of each step matters more than speed. - 8. Wall Balls - 100 reps in every division: full squat below parallel, ball must strike your division's target. Racers may remove their shoes at this final station - the rulebook's small mercy.
The hyrox wall ball weight is fixed at 100 reps in every division, including every Doubles category, with a target height that differs by gender rather than by division.

Doubles quirks worth knowing: Partners must run every kilometre together (a one-minute penalty if one runs ahead - more than three togetherness penalties and the team goes unranked), enter and exit every station together, and split station work however they like. Kettlebells and sandbags may be handed over sideways or backwards, never forward; wall-ball handovers happen via the floor or a hand-off - "flying transitions" (one throws, the other catches mid-rep) are a no-rep.
Relay quirk: exchanges happen in the Transition Zone with an actual mandatory high-five, and all four teammates reunite at wall balls to cross the finish line together.
What weight should you train at?
Not race weight on day one. Start station work at 50–75% of your division's load and build to race weight by week 7 of a 12-week block; once race weight feels smooth, sleds and carries respond well to occasional short sets 10–20% above race load, while wall balls and lunges are better trained at race weight for unbroken volume. The full week-by-week progression is in our free HYROX training plan, and the complete training guide covers how the weights fit the whole race.
HYROX weights FAQ
102 kg (225 lb) for Women's Open, 152 kg (335 lb) for Men's Open - which is also Women's Pro and Mixed Doubles - and 202 kg (445 lb) for Men's Pro, over 50 m in four 12.5 m lengths. Per the official rulebook, every figure includes the sled itself.
HYROX doesn't publish one - the rulebooks define only the total including the sled, because sled models vary. In training, weigh your sled and load plates until the combined total matches your division's number.
The HYROX wall ball weight is 4 kg (8.8 lb) for Women's Open, 6 kg (13.2 lb) for Men's Open, Women's Pro, and Mixed Doubles, 9 kg (19.8 lb) for Men's Pro - 100 reps in every division, thrown to a 2.70 m target for women and 3.00 m for men, regardless of division.
Doubles Women race the same load as Women's Open on every station. Doubles Women Pro, Doubles Men, and Doubles Mixed all race the same middle band, which equals Men's Open. Doubles Men Pro race the heaviest band, equal to Men's Pro. The hyrox mixed doubles weights always match Men's Open, on both the Open and Pro tabs, since HYROX runs no separate Pro tier for Mixed Doubles. Partners run every kilometer together and can split the eight stations' work however they choose, as long as they enter and exit together.
Mixed Doubles races Men's Open loads for both partners - 152 kg sled push, 103 kg sled pull, 2 × 24 kg farmers carry, 20 kg sandbag, 6 kg wall ball - with the work split freely between you. On wall balls, each partner throws to their own gender's target height (women 2.70 m, men 3.00 m).
Each Relay Member races their own gender's Open loads (women WHITE, men GREY) across 2 × 1 km runs and 2 stations of the team's choosing. There is no Pro tier in Relay, and age groups (Under 40 / 40+) are set by the team's average age.
Yes - identical loads, distances, order, and even erg damper presets at every event worldwide. That standardization is why HYROX times are globally comparable; floor surface and sled friction are the only real variables.
For sleds and carries, occasionally, once race weight is smooth - 10–20% over in short sets builds margin. For wall balls and lunges, stay at race weight and build unbroken volume instead. Scaling is built into the training plan week by week.
No. Age groups inside Open and Pro are ranking brackets, not weight brackets - every athlete in a division races the same load regardless of age. Relay age groups (U40 and 40+) work the same way, set by team average age rather than by individual weight adjustments.
They should be. Race organizers use the official band for your division, so training at the exact hyrox weights for your category (rather than an approximation) is the only way to know your sled push and sled pull pacing before race day. This table is re-verified against the official rulebook each season, since bands have shifted between seasons before.
