Free HYROX Timer: Run the Full Race Simulation
Free, no signup, works on your phone at the gym.
This is a free HYROX timer built for the way the race actually works: 8 × 1 km runs, 8 stations, and the Roxzone gap in between -on one clock, with a split for every segment. Tap LAP as you finish each run and station; the timer captures your transitions automatically, shows whether you're ahead or behind your goal pace, and hands you the full splits table at the end. It runs in your browser -phone, tablet, or the gym TV in fullscreen - with nothing to install and nothing to sign up for.
If you've hunted for a hyrox timer before, you'll have found phone apps, generic interval clocks with no station logic, and race calculators that predict a finish time but can't actually time anything. This one runs the race.
How to time a HYROX simulation
- 1. Pick a mode. Full Simulation is the real thing 16-segment race (all 8 runs + 8 stations in official order). Half Sim runs the first or second four stations (4 + 4) fits inside a normal session (that still alternates running and work ) -it's the week-9 workout in our training plan. Custom lets you build weak-station days. You can choose any stations, in any order, with any number of runs, useful for hammering a weak station without the full 90 minutes. Stations only drops the running and rotates through stations on a work/rest clock, for a strength-focused day.
- 2. Set a goal (optional). Choose a target finish time (60, 75, 90, or 105 minutes) and the timer sets per-segment target splits as our training guide (Fit Viz’s internal Hyrox Pacing Model); during the sim you'll see ahead/behind live (an ahead/behind indicator shows against that target while the segment runs).
3. Tap LAP at every change. Finish the run, tap; reach the station, tap; finish the station, tap. Everything between taps is your Roxzone -tracked automatically, because transitions are where first-timers silently lose 8–12 minutes.
Between taps, the timer starts automatically and keeps running until you tap LAP again to start the next segment. Training back-to-back with no transition gap? Turn on "skip Roxzone" and the tool collapses that timing entirely.
- 4. Read the damage. The results screen shows every run, every station, your total Roxzone, and your biggest leak -copy it as text for your training log (or straight into r/hyrox), or save the splits card as an image.
The Official Station order (what the timer runs)
| # | Run | Then |
|---|---|---|
| 1 | 1 km | SkiErg 1,000 m |
| 2 | 1 km | Sled Push 50 m |
| 3 | 1 km | Sled Pull 50 m |
| 4 | 1 km | Burpee Broad Jumps 80 m |
| 5 | 1 km | Row 1,000 m |
| 6 | 1 km | Farmers Carry 200 m |
| 7 | 1 km | Sandbag Lunges 100 m |
| 8 | 1 km | Wall Balls |
Loads for your division -including the sled totals and Mixed Doubles standards -are in the HYROX weights table.
Pacing: what the timer teaches
Two habits separate rehearsed racers from optimistic ones.
- 1. Run the first kilometre 15–20 seconds slower than goal pace - the timer's ahead/behind indicator makes "banking time" visibly expensive by station three.
And - 2. Budget the Roxzone: under 8 minutes total for a 90-minute goal.
Full target splits by finish time are in the pacing section of our training guide; simulation weeks that use them are in the free training plan.
Pacing tips
Running is the lever that moves your finish time the most. SkiErg and Row barely compress even for a fast goal since they are engine-paced, not strength-paced; the sled work and Sandbag Lunges move more with fitness. Roxzone time is the one number most athletes have never measured before their first simulation, and it is usually the biggest single leak in a first-timer's total. Watch it on the results screen, not just your station splits.
The walk from the mat to the sled, picking up kettlebells, catching your breath before Wall Balls. It is unavoidable and it is not free: race photos show the gap between "station done" and "running again" adds up over eight transitions. This timer tracks it the same way a race does: automatically, from the moment you tap LAP to end a segment until you tap LAP again to start the next one.
Coaching a whole gym through sims? Running staggered heats with rotation timing on every screen and a live leaderboard is what race simulations on gym displays are for -this free timer is the single-athlete version.
Free forever, no account needed. Part of the Fit Viz workout timer family -EMOM, Tabata, AMRAP, intervals, and this.

FAQ
This page is a HYROX timer that works on any phone browser -no install. If you want your splits saved to a training history with per-station PRs and race-day predictions, the same timer engine lives in the free Fit Viz app (the app guide covers it and every alternative honestly).
Use Full Sim mode and tap LAP at the end of every run and station; the timer sequences the official order, captures Roxzone time between taps, and produces a complete splits table. For a session-sized version, Half Sim runs 4 runs + 4 stations.
The transition area between runs and stations. The race clock never stops there, and untrained transitions typically leak 8–12 minutes across a full race -this timer tracks yours automatically so you can train it down. The transition discipline decides most doubles races and shows up in your roxzone total
Yes -turn on Doubles mode and use the partner-swap button during stations. Splits record normally; the swap marks who was working, and transition discipline
